Decreasing Benefits?

Today, HR Executive Magazine published an article on trends in workplace benefits. Writer Jen Colletta stated, "Starting next year, consultancy Deloitte will scale back benefits offerings for a select group of employees, particularly around family-building resources and time off; the latter is also the focus of a benefits shift at tech giant Zoom", adding that parental leave is also a target of pullbacks.

Wes Cowen, a national practice leader at OneDigital and also quoted by Colletta, stated that companies across America are facing the challenge of balancing costs with total rewards that attract and retain employees. At OneDigital, Cowen's team published a value perception study to help businesses grapple with this issue. They suggest that a total reassessment of benefits and the ROI of benefits are both important to companies of all sizes.
