About Us

    Northwest Human Resource Management Association (NHRMA) has a proud tradition and history of service to the human resource professionals in the Northwestern United States and British Columbia dating from it’s formation in October 1939. The organization currently provides services to HR professionals and students in the states of Alaska, Oregon and Washington.

    The mission of NHRMA is to provide quality learning, relationship-building, and recognition experiences in partnership with the HR communities of Alaska, Oregon, and Washington.

    NHRMA (known as PNPMA at the time) became affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (known as ASPA at the time) in January of 1972.

    The Northwest Human Resource Management Association (NHRMA) provides professional development opportunities for HR professionals and students in the states of Alaska, Oregon and Washington who are members in good standing with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).   SHRM membership has many benefits, including the opportunity for professionals to participate in a local chapter
