2024 HR Leaders of Tomorrow Call for Presentations

    CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
    Share your expertise!

    You are invited to speak at the 2024 NHRMA student conference. This exciting event will be held in Idaho at Boise State University on April 12-13, 2024, in a hybrid in-person/remote format. Students and recent graduates from Alaska, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho come together for two days to enhance their professional development and knowledge of HR.

    We are seeking guest speakers who can discuss contemporary HRM topics and help prepare our students for their future HR careers. Presentations will take place both in-person and via Zoom.

    • All sessions occur on Saturday, April 13, 2024
    • Sessions will include morning and afternoon breakout sessions (45-60 minutes in length). The format is Hybrid (In-person at Boise State University and via Zoom)
    • Speakers who present in person will not receive honorariums or reimbursement of travel-related expenses

    Submission Guidelines:

      The deadline to submit proposals is 11:59 pm PT Friday, March 1, 2024
    • Speaker selection occurs during the first few weeks of March, and speakers will be notified by March 15, 2024.
    • Information we will need from you to consider you as a speaker -
      • Your name and professional designations (e.g., PhD, SHRM-CP, etc.)
      • Your job title, employer, and contact information (phone, email)
      • Workshop title (Please be creative and descriptive in 20 words maximum)
      • Workshop summary (Please be concise when writing your workshop description - not to exceed 100 words. Summarize your learning objectives, as well as what attendees can expect to take away from the proposed session.)
      • Biography (Please provide a biographical sketch of your professional experience. This will be used when reviewing the submission. (under 100 words)
      • Presentation history - have you presented this presentation for SHRM/other professional groups?
      • Whether you’d present in person in Boise or remotely via Zoom
      • Preferred time slot (morning or afternoon)
      • Additional relevant information regarding your submission

    Important Dates:

    • Proposal Deadline: February 2, 2024
    • Speaker Selection: Week of February 5, 2024
    • Notification to Speakers: February 15, 2024

    Your valuable contribution will make a lasting impact on the future HR leaders attending our conference. We look forward to receiving your proposals and creating a memorable and insightful experience for all participants.

    I understand that I will not receive compensation or reimbursement of expenses for my appearance and presentation at the 2024 HR Leaders of Tomorrow Student Conference. II also understand that NHRMA is not responsible for shipping and/or printing charges related to my presentation. If selected, I agree to adhere to the schedule established by the HRLT Conference and to comply with all requirements set forth in this Call for Presentations and any other future NHRMA communication. I understand that my workshop cannot be used as a showcase for my business, practice, product or service and I agree that I will not promote my products or services during my workshop. My presentation will not include my business logo, except in the footer of my presentation and/or handouts. I will provide my contact information for participants to contact me, if needed, after the Conference. I also agree to be positive or remain neutral in my comments about SHRM, NHRMA and possible workshop sponsor(s) during my workshop. I hereby grant my consent and agree to allow my presentation to be audio or video taped, with handouts copied electronically by the HRLT Planning Committee. It will be made available by the 2024 HRLT Conference to their attendees via PDF download and may also be distributed electronically via other electronic sources. To the extent permitted by law, I also agree to protect, indemnify, defend and hold harmless NHRMA, the 2024 HRLT Conference, its committee members and officers, for any claims, losses, or damages to persons or property, government fines or charges, and costs (including reasonable attorney's fees), arising out of or in connection with my role as a presenter.
