    Will the Student Conference still be held amid concerns about the coronavirus?

    We look forward to welcoming you to Juneau, AK for the HR Leaders of Tomorrow Student Conference, being held on April 17-18, 2020. We are confirming our commitment to hold the student conference as scheduled.

    Online Registration

    I am having trouble getting started with the online registration.

    Please visit the NHRMA Student Conference webpage: https://nhrma.shrm.org/events/2020/04/2020-leaders-tomorrow-student-conference, click the Register Now button, and fill out the fields. Please contact the Registration Manager for more assistance:  Register@ConferenceSolutionsInc.com.

    I cannot find my Registration Confirmation email.

    A registration confirmation email is sent automatically once you have completed your online registration. It serves as your official invoice and is sent to the email address you used to register.

    If you have not received your registration confirmation, please follow these steps:

    1. Wait 60 minutes after registering. Occasionally registration confirmations are slightly delayed if the system is particularly busy.
    2. Check your clutter and spam folders. The subject of the email will be “Confirmation for NHRMA 2020 Student Conference”
    3. Email Register@ConferenceSolutionsInc.com and request that your registration confirmation be resent.

    What is included in the Conference registration fee?

    The registration fee includes all sessions outlined in the agenda, a reception on Friday, April 17, and breakfast and lunch on Saturday, April 18.

    I have already completed my registration, but I need to modify it. How can I do that?

    If you would like to edit your order after you submitted your registration, please email Register@ConferenceSolutionsInc.com for assistance.

    I selected “check” as my payment option but now I want to pay with a credit card.

    I need to cancel my Conference registration. What is the cancellation policy?

    We are happy to accommodate a refund for your purchase if you are unable to find a substitute prior to the deadline. Cancellation requests must be made in writing by emailing Register@ConferenceSolutionsInc.com. Cancellations received by March 22, 2020 will be refunded, less a $25 administrative fee. Unfortunately, no refunds will be given for cancellations received after March 22, 2020. 

    I can no longer attend the Conference, but my colleague is available. What is the substitution policy?

    Know someone else who is interested in attending? Payment of a $25 administrative fee enables you to transfer your registration to another person, simply by emailing Register@ConferenceSolutionsInc.com. Substitutions will be transferred at the same rate as the original registration. Substitutions can be made until the close of online registration (April 10, 2020) or at the onsite registration desk.

    I have some dietary restrictions/special needs. How do I inform the Conference Planners?

    You will be able to enter any dietary restrictions or special needs information during the registration process. A member of our team will be in contact to assist you, if necessary.  Please note that due to vendor limitations, some requests may be combined (i.e. receiving a meal that is dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegetarian) or not accommodated.

    Can I register onsite?

    You may register onsite at the Registration Desk.

     

    Logistics

    Where will conference registration be located?

    Registration will be located in the Treadwell Foyer of the Baranof Hotel.

    I would like to reserve a hotel room in Juneau. Which hotel should I contact?

    Visit the Location Page (https://nhrma.shrm.org/2020-leaders-tomorrow-venue-accommodations) for accommodations options. Discounted accommodations rates are available for HR Student Conference attendees until March 16, 2020, or until the group block is sold out, whichever occurs first.

    Is wi-fi provided during the Conference?

    Complimentary wi-fi will be provided in all meeting spaces and guest rooms.

    What should I wear?

    Business casual attire is preferred. Be sure to wear layers, as the meeting spaces may run hot or cool compared to your comfort level – layers are key! April is often rainy in Juneau, so packing a rain coat is highly advised.

    The average high temperature in Juneau in April is 48 degrees Fahrenheit and the average low is 33 degrees Fahrenheit.
