Dr. Charla Brown is currently the Chair for the Business & Public Administration Department at the University of Alaska Southeast and an Assistant Professor of Management. With 18 years’ professional experience in human resource management and organizational behavior, her former employers include Continental Airlines, Enron, Ocean Energy, Devon Energy, and Backcountry.com. Dr. Brown holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Social Psychology and a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She is also the principle of Northern Solstice Advisors offering consultation services to organizations interested in crafting organizational culture or implementing organizational change. Dr. Brown enjoys traveling the world and has had the privilege of visiting 22 countries with hopefully more to follow. Her favorite adventure to date was getting to climb the Great Wall of China and she is also hooked on CrossFit!
