NHRMA Distinguished Member Award
PURPOSE
To recognize Association members who have made significant contributions to the human resource profession, the community and/or the Association. This award is intended to be a “HUMAN RESOURCES PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD” to individuals who have provided exceptional service to the profession over a period of years.
CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION
Members must demonstrate strong leadership and integrity within the Association and the human resource profession. Indicators may include founding a NHRMA/SHRM Chapter, serving as a long-term NHRMA/SHRM Faculty Advisor, maintaining membership in a local, regional or national SHRM Board or Committee over an extended period, possessing recognition as a leader in the local HRM community, development and sharing of cutting edge approaches to HRM issues, serving as a national or regional NHRMA/SHRMconference presenter or chair, and/or stabilizing or re-energizing a local NHRMA region Board or community.
ELIGIBILITY
Nominees must meet the following basic criteria with this application
- Current SHRM Member in good standing a minimum of 7 years
- Membership affiliation with a SHRM Chapter in the states of Alaska, Oregon, or Washington
- If retired or moved out of the region or out of the profession, has lived in the NHRMA region within the prior year
- Current Certified Professional (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, GPHR, Ph.D., J.D.)
- Demonstrates integrity in the profession
- Delivers meritorious service to the profession, the Association, and/or local chapters for a minimum of five years
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
Any SHRM member may nominate an eligible SHRM member in the NHRMA region for the award.
