2020 HR Leaders of Tomorrow Call for Presentations


    Thank you for your interest in speaking at the 2020 NHRMA Student Conference. This exciting event will feature keynote addresses by recognized experts in the field, career-building activities designed to develop lasting relationships, concurrent sessions focused on contemporary HR topics, and corporate HR tours with employers in the Juneau area. For students at any stage in their education, this multi-state regional event won’t be one to miss!

    • All presentations will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2020.

    • Sessions are 60-75 minutes in length.

    • Speakers will not receive honorariums or reimbursement of travel related expenses.

    • The information requested below must be submitted no later than 11:59 pm AKT on Friday, January 31, 2020, in order to be considered.

    • Speaker selection will occur on Monday, February 17, 2020.


    Please be creative and desciptive in 20 words or less
    Please be concise when writing your workshop description (not to exceed 100 words). Summarize your learning objective, as well as what attendees can expect to take away from the proposed session.
    Please provide in 100 words or less a biographical sketch of the presenter's professional experience. This will be used when reviewing the submission.
    I understand that I will not receive compensation or reimbursement of expenses for my appearance and presentation at the 2020 HR Leaders of Tomorrow Student Conference to be held in Juneau, AK. I also understand that NHRMA is not responsible for shipping and/or printing charges related to my presentation. If selected, I agree to adhere to the schedule established by NHRMA and to comply with all requirements set forth in this Call for Presentations and any other future NHRMA communication. I understand that my workshop cannot be used as a showcase for my business, practice, product or service and I agree that I will not promote my products or services during my workshop. My presentation will not include my business logo, except in the footer of my presentation and/or handouts. I will provide my contact information for participants to contact me, if needed, after the Conference. I also agree to be positive or remain neutral in my comments about SHRM, NHRMA and possible workshop sponsor(s) during my workshop. I hereby grant my consent and agree to allow my presentation to be audio or video taped, with handouts copied electronically by NHRMA and/or the NHRMA Conference Planner. It will be made available by the NHRMA 2020 Student Conference to their attendees via PDF download and may also be distributed electronically via other electronic sources. To the extent permitted by law, I also agree to protect, indemnify, defend and hold harmless the NHRMA 2020 Student Conference, its committee members and officers, for any claims, losses, or damages to persons or property, government fines or charges, and costs (including reasonable attorney's fees), arising out of or in connection with my role as a presenter.
